PRIZES AND SCHOLARSHIPS

Students are the future of the nation. Education makes better citizens who make a nation progressive.

In an effort to encourage scholarly students to continue their studies, the Association has instituted Prizes as well various scholarships.

Every year the prizes are awarded to highly meritorious students who have passed the 10th & 12th standards, completed graduations, post graduations and professional courses with a stellar performance. These merit prizes are awarded during Independence Day Celebrations and Republic Day Celebrations.

Three prizes are also awarded to highly meritorious 10th Standard Kannada medium school students securing very high marks.

KSN Hebbar trophy is given to students scoring Highest in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/BA, BCom degrees. Scholarship is given to economically poor students to complete schooling up to the 12th Standard. This facility is also extended to the BSKB Association staff.

SCHOOL ADOPTION

To encourage the education of underprivileged communities, B.S.K.B.A adopts various schools.

Sant Kakayya Sc hool at Dharavi is one such BMC school. B.S.K.B.A. has adopted Santh Kakayya Municipal School where 3000+ students belonging to the underprivileged class are studying. Every year financial assistance between Rs 50,000 & 1 Lakh is given to the school for various projects. The association has so far provided Desks, chairs, Kid’s outdoor play unit to this school.

This year B.S.K.B. A also donated Laptops & educational software worth Rs 1,00,000 to the Sion-Koliwada Municipal School. Assistance is also provided in various ways to the school.
